- Uganda Lake Victoria Adventure - 11 days
DAY
1: NAIROBI - KISUMU
Leave Nairobi in the morning, have lunch at Kericho. Walk in the tea
plantations then drive via Lwanda Magere (the Luo warrior who was killed
and turned into a stone) continue to Kisumu for dinner and overnight.
Or alternatively, Fly into Kisumu from Nairobi.
DAY 2: NDERE ISLAND NATIONAL PARK – KISUMU CITY TOUR
After breakfast drive to Kaloka beach, take a boat to Ndere Island national
park see some game and bird life. Row the boat back to Kaloka beach.
Drive via Kit- Mikaye ( This rock is where Mikaye the mother of Luo
tribe sheltered herself after along journey down the Nile) drive back
to Kisumu for Lunch. Kisumu tour takes you to Impala park, Kisumu Museum
,The Kisumu city market, Children’s Homes, women groups , Kisumu
beach Resort, Tilapia beach, kiboko bay Beach Resort and Dunga beach
are optional. Dinner and overnight stay in Kisumu hotel.

Day
3: Kisumu City - Kan'go - Got Ramogi
After breakfast depart for Kit Mikaye ( the rock that has a story to
tell that is steeped in the mythology of the Luo people), Continue to
Bondo town then to Usenge on the shores of Lake Victoria via the Late
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga's mausoleum - Kan'go ka jaramogi,visit Uhanya
and Osieko Beaches attempt to climb Got Ramogi- Hill(the home of the
grand grandfather of the luo community when the luo tribe first settled
on lake Victoria) in the afternoon after a lunch of fresh fish and other
savouries that include local fare. Lunch is served at the home of the
late Jaramogi oginga Odinga's home. The evening is spent listening to
fork-lore by a campfire on the shores of the lake even as your meal
or mutton or lamb roasts on a spit in the open. Overnight in a middle
class hotel, on a campsite or home-stays in a posh rural home on the
shores of lake Victoria.

4 Mageta Island - Dominion Farm - Uganda
After breakfast take a boat ride to Mageta island from Uhanya beach.
Visit the old colonial prison now turned into a local primary school
on the island. See the animals on the island, talk to the local fishermen
then back on the boat to the main land. Drive to Nyamonye then cross
the river yala into Dominion Farm where you will meet the farm management
and chat with the local farm workers. Proceed to siaya via Lake kanyaboli
for bird watching. Lunch at Siaya town. Proceed to Busia border then
into Uganda. Drive to jinja town from busia border. Dinner and overnight
stay at Nile Resort Hotel.

Day
5 Jinja - White Water Rafting
After breakfast, travel to the source of the river Nile and start water
rafting ,this is expected to take a whole day and if quite interesting
, can be arranged to continue to the next day. Lunch at the nearest
Resort to the source of river Nile. Dinner and overnight at your
hotel.
Day 6 Visit the Bujagali falls - Village Walk
After breakfast , We will take you to the Bujagali falls then to a walk
of the village. There is no better way of getting acquainted with the
heart of Uganda than venturing into its villages. Victoria Safaris offers
you this ideal opportunity. One of Bujagali's most respected and knowledgeable
residents will escort you through his neighbourhood, introducing you
to the families, and you can share a meal in one or two of the homes.
The village of Bujagali can be leisurely explored at any time
of day. All that is required for this wonderful experience is a warm
smile and a good pair of walking shoes. Lunch at the nearest campsite.
Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 7 Chimpanzee Viewing
After breakfast, We will take you on a boat ride to see the chimpanzees
on Ngamba island. This island on Lake Victoria is the popular Chimpanzee
Sanctuary, which provides a safe haven for 39 orphaned chimpanzees that
roam freely around the island. You will be guaranteed seeing the chimpanzees
on your trip and it will be a memorable visit. Lunch on the island.
Dinner and overnight on the mainland at the campsite.

Day
8 Fishing Trips
After breakfast, we will take you on a fishing trip on lake Victoria.
This may take a good part of the day with a parked Lunch on the lake
Victoria. Lake Victoria and the Nile River are famous for their massive
population of Nile Perch fish. People travel from all over the world
to have a go at catching one of these beasts. The world record catch
for Nile Perch was made in Uganda at a staggering 121 kilograms, and
it is common to hear of daily catches between 30 and 60 kilograms. Dinner
and overnight at the campsite on the main land. (This tour can be extended
depending on the interest of the client)
Day 9 Jinja- Kampala - Entebbe - Ssese Island
After breakfast leave jinja for Kampala in the morning then to Entebbe
proceed for ferry crossing to Ssese Island at 1:00pm after lunch at
speke hotel - munyonyo, arrive at the Island and check in at Sesse Island
Club Resort for dinner and Overnight.
Day 10 Ssese
Island
Have breakfast at the hotel then relax at the beach enjoying beach games
like swimming, canoeing on the lake, Fishing, cycling, nature walks,
return for lunch and then just relax at the beach in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 11 Ssese Island - Entebbe airport
After breakfast , board ferry back to the main land. Relax at speke
hotel- munyonyo in Entebbe, have lunch there then proceed to Entebbe
airport for departure.

Day
1: Nairobi
Upon
arrival,our Courtesy Team will personally meet you and take you to Nairobi's
Serena Hotel, situated in the Central Business District of Nairobi.
If you arrive early enough, there will be time to enjoy some of the
city's famous attractions, such as parliament ,the bomb blast , Nairobi
national park ,giraffe centre and Karen Blixen's homestead. This evening
victoria safaris treats you to a welcome dinner at a famous Nairobi
restaurant - the Carnivore.

Day
2: Aberdare
Morning
city tour of Nairobi. You'll learn about the important colonial days,
as well as the exciting current ones with Kenya's youthful, new democratic
government. You'll enjoy tea at the famous Thorntree Café and
have a quick look at the National Museum. In the afternoon the safari
begins with a drive north through Kikuyuland. A stop will be made at
one of Kenya's largest open-air market at Karatina. Dinner and overnight
at a lovely country club in the highlands - Aberdares.
Day 3: Aberdare National Park
The
day is spent game viewing in the Aberdare National Park, one of the
few highland rainforest parks in East Africa. Our landrcruisers will
take you through the thick forests filled with elephant and rarer animals
like colobus and suni, before emerging onto the tundra above the tree
line. This is a beautiful area and a picnic lunch will be taken by one
of the areas many spectacular waterfalls. You’ll drive down through
the bamboo forests for a candlelit dinner in the country club.

Day
4: Samburu
Cross
the equator, this morning, then visit the benevolent womens organization,
the Nanyuki Weavers. Afterwards, tour gide takes you on a short way
up Mt. Kenya for a scrumptious lunch of freshly caught trout. The afternoon's
drive is one of the most spectacular in Africa: in less than 40 minutes
you descend from the highland forests of Mt. Kenya onto the Great Northern
Frontier, a semi-arid landscape reminiscent of America's southwest.
Game view into Samburu National Park, for dinner and overnight at a
lodge or luxury tented camp in the park.
Day 5: Samburu National Park
At
Samburu a great river creeps through the desert making the veldt bloom.
You'll see abundant game, including many rare animals not seen elsewhere
in East Africa, like the Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe.
There are many lion and cheetah, and the birdlife is outstanding. Larsen's
is the only intimate, exclusive camp in this popular national park.
Its setting riverside is one of the reasons so many of its visitors
return time and again.

6: Masai Mara
A
spectacular morning flight that flies right over the flamingo lakes
of the Great Rift Valley arrives Kenya's best park, the Maasai Mara,
in time for lunch. For three nights you'll enjoy the Mara's most lavish
camp, sopa mara , set along the great Mara River. The spacious tents
include king beds set on hand-carved mounts from the area's teak. Victoria
baths and your own butler attend to your every need. After the game
drive, enjoy sundowners then dinner prepared by gourmet European chefs.
Day 7: Masai Mara National Park
At
any time of the year the Mara provides some of the best game viewing
in Africa, but at a time of the year(August - september) there's a chance
you'll see the Great Migration. This is when about a half million white
bearded gnu (wildebeest) enter the Mara from the adjacent Serengeti.
The
Serengeti will have dried up, and the Mara being wetter and higher,
is still growing the important nutrient grasses. Much, of course, depends
upon the weather, but usually this is an outstanding time for game viewing,
here. For those interested, you can also visit a Maasai village and
take a hot-air balloon ride over the herds.
Day
8: Lake Manyara National Park
After
a final morning of game viewing you fly into Tanzania, via Nairobi,
and on to Lake Manyara on the Great Rift Valley. Immediately after you
arrive, Our counter part tour guide / drivers in Tanzanian landrovers
will take you into Lake Manyara National Park.
This
park has the greatest diversity of plants and trees of any park, despite
being rather small. Famous for its Lions-in-the-trees, there are many
Elephant and unbelievable amounts of birds. Dinner and overnight at
Hoopoe’s award-winning Kirurumu Camp, perched right on the escarpment
overlooking Manyara.
Day 9: Ngorongoro
After
breakfast you continue to Ngorongoro Crater, stopping at a fabric market
in the little town of Karatu enroute. For the next 2 nights you’ll
stay at one of Tanzania’s most exclusive properties, Crater Lodge.
Fresh roses, fresh Stilton and special English sherry is kept topped
up in every room by its personal butler. Except for the view of the
world’s 8th natural wonder, lunch and dinner will make you think
you’re in Europe. Descend the crater for an afternoon game drive,
returning to the lodge for an elegant evening.

Day
10: Ngorongoro Crater
You
are taken down into the crater before dawn, when the light is best for
photography and the chances of seeing some of the last-free ranging
Black Rhino are best. The hundred sq. mile crater is a wildlife paradise.
More than 20,000 animals live here, including unusually tame Eland,
several types of Hyaena, and a great array of birds found particularly
near its central lake. The density of Lion is higher here than anywhere
else in East Africa. Return to the lodge for a late lunch. This afternoon
you can relax, or join your guide on a short hike through the hills
of Maasailand.
Day 11: Tarangire National Park
Morning
drive to Tarangire National Park on the other side of Lake Manyara.
This is a large park, and the tour arrives at the northern entrance
in time for lunch. The afternoon is spent game viewing down to the lovely
camp, Swala. For 2 nights you’ll enjoy this exclusive camp, tucked
far away from the tourist circuit. There are only 8 lavish tents, here,
and outstanding meals prepared by professional chefs. After dinner,
enjoy a brandy on the deck overlooking the waterhole frequented by Elephant.
Day 12: Tarangire
This
is the ideal time for Tarangire, a park defined by its great sand rivers.
More than 4000 Elephant migrate into the park, now, to dig in the rivers
for water. These are not the approachable Elephant of the sort you will
have seen in Samburu, but aggressive tuskers that live most of their
life on the Maasai steppe far away from human habitation. The park is
also known for its Leopard, and its superb stands of Baobab forests.
Meals are provided and you stay overnight at Swala camp.
Day 13: Nairobi
After
breakfast you return to Arusha to begin the series of flights that return
you to Nairobi. Following the mid-afternoon arrival, you’ll be
transfered to the Norfolk, where everyone has a room before our farewell
dinner. Afterwards, you’ll be privately transfered to the airport
for departure.
