Baggage

Itinerary

AntelopeDay 1 Amboseli National Park
Pick up is most convenient from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Hotel, and immediately start the safari to Amboseli, drive through semi arid sections toward and along the Tanzanian border, the home of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the famous Amboseli elephants, known for their massive size. Arrive in the afternoon with an elaborate game-en-route. Advance to the campsite and retire for a hot, chef made dinner and then enjoy the African evening for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli National Park Highlights
One of the most captivating features of this park is the Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the splendid views boasting of the fresh water swamps. The combination of scenery, people and animals is what makes the Amboseli national park fascinating. Beautifully situated at the foot of the towering Kilimanjaro, it Is the home of the brightly painted Maasai tribe, here you can see lions , cheetahs, spotted hyenas and wild dogs as well as gnus , Kaffir buffaloes , Burch ell’s zebras and herds of elephants . All these animals come to drink at water holes consisting of small lakes or muddy ponds kept filled up by water from the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. The northern lake Amboseli contains water only after rain.

ElephantDay 2 Amboseli – Tsavo West
Start this day rather early for an excellent view of the Mt. Kilimanjaro, enjoy an early breakfast as its convenient to start the safari along the Kenya Tanzania border toward Tsavo, only more bush to seen and the native Maasai of these region. Arrive in the afternoon just in time for a dry semi arid thicket and shetani lava flow, and Mzima springs. Arrive at the camp in time for set up and dinner a spectacular view of the African sky and overnight stay.

Day 3 Tsavo West – Nairobi
This is a day when you want to have memorable pictures; so start your day after breakfast, then after de-camping and breakfast then drive your way back, enjoying mostly the vast beautiful scenery, make an easy way drive toward Nairobi, arrive in the evening for check up at your hotel or the Jomo Kenyatta Airport.

Tsavo Game Park Highlights
Vast savanna vegetation that is semi-Arid and sparsely populated, Nevertheless the Tsavo national park founded in 1947 is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Kenya. It’s manned by the popular Kenya Wildlife Services, K.W.S., and is electrically fenced and well guarded, all the nature intact in its original form. In spite of its arid countryside and savannah vegetation on reddish sand-like soil,( responsible for the red elephant colour); about 60species of mammals and 400 different species of birds are to be found here. There are many animals,(Oryx, kudus, giants gazelles and giraffe, including lions and cheetahs, Burchell’s zebras, Maasai giraffes baboons and vervet monkeys of the birds the most impressive is the Maasai ostrich).The block buster of the tour is the Mzima springs, with crocodile and hippo pool. The water is so clear that fish and other aquatic animals are readily visible from an under water glass hut. Find out also the geography of Shetani Lava flow.

VSJ 101: Maasai Mara Budget Camping Safari - 4 Days / 3 Nights

WildebeestTrip highlights: This is a four days road safari into Maasai Mara, which is Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve, and also the 4th most preferred tourist destination in the world. The trip will start immediately after your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport through the Great Rift Valley by road, and into the Mara. You will be able to see plenty of wildlife varying from Kenya's big five; the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the leopard among a host of other different animal species. You will travel as a small group with our experienced cook in a comfortable safari minivan and stay in set up camps while on this safari. At the end of your safari, you will be dropped off at the same airport for your departure flight.

Itinerary

LionDay 1: Arrival - Nairobi - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Upon your arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly received by our Tour Manager who will brief you on your safari and escort you to your safari vehicle for departure to the Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving in good time for check in at your camp, Lunch and then depart for an afternoon Game viewing drive till evening. Lunch, dinner and overnight at a Camp

The Maasai Mara National Reserve, now the New 7th wonder of the world and 4th most preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The Maasai Mara hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants, as well as a wide variety of bird life.

African BuffaloDay 2 & 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve (2 full days)
You will spend these two full days within the Mara enjoying nature, taking regular game viewing drives, taking photographs as well as looking out for the big five which you are likely to see during your safari. In the afternoons, we can also arrange a visit to the local Maasai homesteads for a cultural visit. An option of balloon Game viewing is also available very early in the morning, at an extra cost. All meals and overnight at a Camp

Optional Balloon Flight
You can opt to carry out your game viewing activity on an adventurous and unforgettable balloon flight over the spectacular Mara at an extra cost. This package includes a bush breakfast in the wild making it very interesting.

In November 2006 the Maasai Mara was named as the New 7th wonder of the world because of what experts termed as "the uniqueness of the area and the preservation it provides to so many species living in harmony". It is understandable because this annual migration is the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi – Departure
You will enjoy an early pre-breakfast game viewing drive followed by breakfast. After breakfast, depart the Mara and return to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. After enjoying your lunch, be dropped off by the driver at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight to your next destination.
