Kenya Rift Valley Lakes and Maasai Mara
Camping Safari - 7 Days / 6 Nights
This is a road safari which starts and ends in Nairobi.
You start with a trip to Lake Baringo, then transfer to Lake Bogoria,
proceed to Lake Nakuru and then round it at Maasai Mara National Park
before ending in Nairobi on the seventh Day.
Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Baringo
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, or if you are
staying in a Nairobi City Hotel, our tour manager will meet you and
brief you on your safari, and thereafter depart for Lake Baringo Club
from Nairobi, which nestles amongst palm trees, green lawns and the
clashing pinks, purples, reds and oranges of bougainvillea Obviously
thriving in the hot steamy days that characterizes so many of the Great
Rift Valley's lakes.
There is never a dull moment at the Club. Morning and evening bird-walks,
always accompanied by ornithologist who give visitors the opportunity
to see several magnificent birds of prey, noisy, restless, "bush"
birds and the numerous species frequenting the shore.
Lake Baringo is at the threshold of Northern Kenya
and its freshwaters are an oasis in the arid plains. The 129 sq km lake
is well stocked with fish, and attracts many Pelicans, Cormorants and
Fish Eagles. Crocodile.The Lake itself is truly beautiful, surrounded
by volcanic ranges that stretch as far as the eye can see. This is an
excellent base for exploring the lake, with boat trips ideal for bird
and hippo spotting. This is the traditional home of the Njemps tribe,
a unique people who are the only pastoral, cattle herding, tribe who
also fish. Among other pastoral tribes such as the Maasai, eating fish
is a taboo. At the lakes heart is Ol Kokwe Island, a stark rocky island
that is home to Njemps villages and a well appointed camp. Dinner and

Day 2: Lake Baringo - Lake Bogoria
Visit Lake Bogoria for a day's excursion. The Lake Bogoria National
Park was opened to visitors in November 1970. Hot springs and baths
provide a natural spa for the visitors. Lake Bogoria waters contain
the blue-green algae which tend to attract thousands of flamingoes seasonally
and turn the shores pink. Bushed grasslands surround the lake and visitors
can spot a variety of animals here including the buffalo, zebra, impala,
and dik dik. The southern shore of the lake consists of acacia-ficus
woodland, while the northern part is a "papyrus swamp." Visitors
can explore the beauty of the park by camping, walking or boating, they
can either stay at the park lodge, or camp at one of the three public
campsites or the professional campsite. A picnic site is available for

Day 3: Lake Bogoria - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, world renowned
for its spectacle of millions if flamingo. The park is rich in other
bird life and there are a surprising number of animals in this small
and beautiful preserve.
Lake Nakuru National Park; A sea of flaming pink as far as the eye can
see. These are the millions of flamingoes seeking for their food in
the salty deep green waters of Lake Nakuru. The protected area is primarily
for birds of which 400 to 500 species can be found here including cormorants
and pelicans. However visitors to be Lake Nakuru may also catch a glimpse
of Thomson gazelles, impala, waterbucks, giraffes, buffaloes or even
black rhino and leopards. Dinner and Overnight at the Campsite.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
Leave after breakfast and drive to the Sekenani or similar, situated
in Masai Mara; the richest game park in Kenya. Set up very naturally
between two streams, the park gives you the opportunity to view a wide
selection of wildlife such as lion, elephant, cheetah, leopard, rhino,
giraffe and buffalo. All meals are taken at the camp.
Day 5: Maasai Mara
0630 hrs- early morning game drive - if you still want to go for more
OR
Maasai Mara Balloon
Take the opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot air Balloon provided
at an extra cost. The balloon package includes a champagne breakfast
in the wild! If you can spare the money, viewing abundant game afloat
a balloon is an unforgettable experience. All meals are taken at your
camp before overnight at the camp.
Day 6: Maasai Mara
This day is spent exploring the Mara plains for predators and a visit
to the Hippo Pool; of course not forgetting a view into the Serengeti
plains across the Kenya / Tanzania border. All meals are taken at your
camp before overnight at the camp.
Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Depart after breakfast, reaching Nairobi ready for lunch at your hotel
/ restaurant.

Mombasa Wildlife & Mount Kilimanjaro
Camping Safari - 3 Days / 2 Nights
Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo West
Our Safari team departs Mombasa and drives north towards the vast wilderness
of Tsavo West; Kenya’s oldest and largest park. We stop for lunch
enroute before we enter the park. Our afternoon game drive includes
a visit to Mzima Springs. Dinner and overnight at a camp.
Day 2: Tsavo West- Amboseli
After breakfast we drive through the park across the Shatani Plains
and enter Amboseli with game viewing drive en-route to the Campsite
- (Amboseli). Evening game viewing drive till dusk. Return to your campsite
for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Amboseli – Mombasa
An early morning game viewing drive is recommended before breakfast.
The snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro makes a very photogenic background
to the animals. After breakfast return to Mombasa via Emali town - Sultan
Hamud town on Nairobi - Mombasa highway with picnic lunch en-route.
Arriving in Mombasa in the late afternoon.

Mombasa Wildlife Camping Safari to the
Tsavo East and Tsavo West – 3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East
Our Safari team departs Mombasa and drives north towards the vast wilderness
of Tsavo East, Kenya’s oldest and largest park. We stop for lunch
enroute at a Lodge before entering the park. After lunch we spend the
afternoon exploring the park where we can expect to see elephant, lion,
leopard, buffalo, kudu, zebra and hartebeest. Dinner and overnight at
a camp.
Day 2: Tsavo East - Tsavo West
After breakfast, leave Tsavo East with game drive en-route and cross
into Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch in the campsite.
Our afternoon game viewing drive includes a visit to Mzima springs.
Dinner and overnight at a camp.
Day 3: Tsavo West - Mombasa
Pre-breakfast game drives then return the camp for breakfast. Depart
to Mombasa, lunch is served enroute. You will arrive in the late afternoon.

Mombasa Wildlife Camping Safari to the
Tsavo & Salt Lick– 2 Days / 1 Night
Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East –
Taita Hills
Our morning drive takes you inland to Tsavo East National Park. Visiting
the Aruba Dam and then following the network of tracks to photograph
the wildlife. Lunch is at a tented camp, after which we drive you through
Tsavo to Saltlick or Taita Hills lodges sanctuary. Game viewing drive
in the sanctuary till dusk. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 2: Taita Hills - Mombasa
A morning game drive in to the near by private game sanctuary is followed
by breakfast at the Campsite. Lunch is at Taita Hills Lodge. Afterwards
we drive you back to the coast arriving at your hotel in the early evening.

Best of Kenya's Rift Valley Lakes &
Kakamega Forest Bird Watching Camping Safari - 7 Days / 6 Nights
Highlights: This is a road camping Birdwatchers paradise
safari best for birding in Kenya. It starts from Nairobi and ends in
Nairobi. You will start by visiting the Lake Baringo National Park,
and then to Lake Bogoria - Kakamega forest - Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
and lastly round it by returning back to Nairobi.
Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Baringo
Pick up from your hotel and drive through Limuru tea farms, descending
to the floor of the Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the viewpoint.
Mt. Longonot (which is of volcanic origin) and Lake Naivasha can be
seen from far enroute to Lake Baringo. This is one of the two fresh
waters lakes in the rift valley and a bird watchers paradise; it has
over 460 recorded bird species and a number of hippos. Check in and
lunch at Lake Baringo country club campsite which has plenty of information
on the areas bird life. A resident ornithologist leads walks before
breakfast and in the evenings. Dinner and Overnight at campsite.
Day 2: Lake Baringo
After breakfast, take a 1hour bird watching trip by boat to the island
to view more birds and hippos. On the island you can organise short
excursions at an extra cost to see the njemp village (local tribe) and
dancing, or a local snake farm. After proceed to the nearby Lake Bogoria
1 hour away.
Lake Bogoria is a shallow soda lake hosting thousands
of pink flamingos, a large number of other birds and the lesser kudu.
Scalding hot springs and geysers at the southern end of the lake spurt
and steam their alkaline waters. The bubbling of hot springs, hundreds
of singing weaverbirds and a million flamingos feeding in the bluish
water presents a rare scenic beauty. Dinner and overnight at the Campsite.
Day 3: Lake Baringo – Kakamega
After breakfast, drive to Kakamega National Reserve. This is the country’s
only tropical rain forest and formed part of the dense rain forest that
stretched from west Africa, across central Africa and in to the highland
areas East and West of the great rift valley .The forest is world renowned
as home to several hundred species of birds including rare snake eating
birds, insects, monkeys and other mammals as well as countless exotic
tree species. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 4: Kakamega
After breakfast, spend a full day in the Kakamega national reserve with
bird walks accompanied by game wardens and our driver / guides. Dinner
and overnight at the campsite.
Day 5: Kakamega - Nakuru
Drive to Lake Nakuru national park after an early breakfast arriving
at the Lake Nakuru Campsite in time for lunch. The park is a home to
stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which literally turn
the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here
is world renown and over 400 birds’ species can be seen like,
white pelicans and the marabou stork, all water birds that breed in
the lakes alkaline waters. You may also spot white rhino, rare Rothschild
giraffe, and other plain game. Dinner and Overnight at the campsite.
Day 6: Nakuru - Naivasha
A pre breakfast bird spotting drive in the park and around the lake
before returning to the campsite for breakfast. Drive to Hells gate
national park with a brief stop at the lake Elementaita viewpoint.
The Hells Gate National Park is famous for its natural
steaming geysers and a haven for birdwatchers. The walking/hiking in
the park gives one a sense of freedom, open space and a clear view of
wildlife. The cliffs are breeding grounds for vultures, verreauxs eagles,
augur buzzards and thousands of swifts. Over 120 species have been recorded
here.
Lunch at the campsite and the afternoon is spent at leisure
either to explore the rich, bird filled gardens or an optional boat
ride to Crescent Island (at an extra cost). Dinner and overnight at
the campsite.
Day 7: Naivasha - Nairobi
After a leisurely breakfast drive back to Nairobi and drop off at your
hotel or drop off at JKI Airport to catch your flight back home.
