Highlights: This is a guided Bicycle tour of the Kisumu Central Business district and its surrounding areas from your hotel or residence in Kisumu city. After the tour, you will ride back to your hotel or residence. You can opt to ride by yourself or be carried on a bicycle.

Itinerary:

This is a tour of Kisumu City on a bicycle; you can opt to ride a bicycle on your own or be carried on the famous Boda Boda-cyclists. The tour will start from your hotel in Kisumu to the various sites which include the city center, the lake shore food bandas and the lake shore car wash area. Then to the pier (the ships docking bay),the Kisumu railway station, the Impala Wildlife Sanctuary, the Kiboko Bay Tented Beach Resort to see the hippos, the Dunga beach, then back via Outering Road to Nairobi road, the Kisumu stadium, Joy land School for the physically disabled, through to Manyatta Estate with its congested population up to Kondele, then to Nyanza General Hospital, Kibuye Market, the City main bus stand, Kisumu Municipal Market, the Kenyatta Sports Ground, the Walter Edwin Owen Park, the Kisumu City Hall and then back to your hotel.

Kit Mikaye Tour – 3 Hours

Highlights:

This tour takes you to the famous Kit Mikaye Rocks in Seme in Kisumu Rural. Located off Kisumu Bondo Road towards Bondo, Kit Mikaye is said to be the rock where Mikaye (which means, literally, "the first wife"), the mother of the Luo tribe, sheltered herself after a long journey down the Nile. The massive columns of Kit Mikaye in Seme are towers of boulders piled together into gravity defying columns. According to legend, this was once the homestead of a powerful man who used to abuse and mistreats his first wife. The woman returned to haunt him after her death, eventually turning him and his property into stones. Religious groups, the sick and those who want solace after a misfortune visit the rocks hoping that their prayers will be answered. It is said the woman went up the rock where she has been weeping ever since.

There are many spectacular rock formations which abound with myths and mythologies in western tourist circuit. The stones have been a source of solace for the Luo people for a long time. They believe that if any man with a problem visits the stones, his problems will be solved and his wishes answered, so long as elders sacrifice a goat at the site. In the past, only men were allowed near the rocks, but visitors are these days welcome.The site is managed by the Kit Mikaye Rock Development Group which has since built a house and a banda where visitors can get refreshments while on a tour.

After the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel or residence within Kisumu city.

Boating Excursion inside Lake Victoria - 3 Hrs

Highlights:

This is an excursion which takes you inside the Lake Victoria on a leisure boat. You will board the boat at Kiboko bay beach resort or Dunga Beach ,then ride around the gulf to Hippo Point, the car wash area, Tilapia beach, then to Kisumu beach resort, proceed along the shores of lake Victoria to Ndere island National park in lake Victoria, see the wildlife then ride back to Kiboko bay beach resort for lunch. With arrangement, a picnic lunch would be served in the boat inside the Lake.
