Museum 2Hrs
The
Kisumu Museum has a variety of interesting animal exhibits, including
a stuffed lion pouncing on an equally stuffed Wildebeest. There are
ethnographic exhibits and a display of musical instruments. The Kisumu
Museum is considered by many to be one of Kenya’s finest collections,
exhibiting displays on wildlife as well as native Luo culture.
The
Impala Park 2 Hrs
Impala
Park is a game sanctuary and animal orphanage and home to the rare Sitatunga
antelope.The Kisumu Impala Wildlife Sanctuary was opened in 1992 with
the intention of protecting a herd of impala and serve as a safe grazing
ground for hippopotamus from the lakes. Spread over an area of less
than 1sq km, this wildlife sanctuary acts a holding point for problem
animals like baboons, hyenas and leopards.You will be able to see these
animals within a close range.
Kiboko
Bay 2 Hrs
This
is a beach resort formerly known as Dunga Refreshments. It has since
changed its name to Kiboko Bay Tented Resort. It has five lodges and
a view point for the hippos, a restaurant and a boat excursion. It is
a good recreation center for families and visitors wishing to have a
close encounter with Lake victoria Hippos during the day.
The
Kisumu Municipal Market - 1 Hr
This market was established in 1935. It is a farmers' market, with over
300 stalls stocking all sorts of items including Turkana baskets, pots,
fruits, cereals and the famous fish market adjacent to it. It borders
the Kisumu Bus park which is a transport hub for all travelers from
the surrounding towns and villages. A visit to Kisumu city is not complete
until you set your foot into this market. Adjacent to it is the curio
bandas where you can buy the Kisii soap stones and other artifacts.

City Walking Tours - 3 Hrs
A guided walking excursion in Kisumu City is quite adventurous, you
will be able to mix up with the locals and chat with the residents.
From your hotel, you will be able to walk to the Kisumu City Council
hall, Kenyatta sports ground, the Walter Edwin Owen park, the Kisumu
Municipal Market, the Kisumu City Center, the pier(the ship docking
bay), the Kisumu railway station, the Kisumu Museum,the Impala Park,the
Kiboko Bay Tented Beach Resort and the childrens' orphanage.

Kisumu
Bicycle tour - 3 Hrs
This
is a tour of Kisumu City on a bicycle, you can opt to ride a bicycle
on your own or be carried on the famous Boda Boda-cyclists. The tour
will start from your hotel in Kisumu to the various sites which include
the city center, the lake shore food bandas and the lake shore car wash
area. Then to the pier (the ships docking bay),the KisumU railway station,
the Impala Wildlife Sanctuary, the Kiboko Bay Tented Beach Resort to
see the hippos, the dunga beach, then back via Outering Road to Nairobi
road, the Kisumu stadium, Joyland School for the physically disabled,
through to Manyatta Estate with its congested population upto Kondele,
then to Nyanza General Hospital, Kibuye Market, the City main bus stand,
Kisumu Municipal Market, the Kenyatta Sports Ground, the Walter Edwin
Owen Park, the Kisumu City Hall and then back to your hotel.

Scooter (Tricycle) Tour 2 Hrs
This
tour takes you around Kisumu City on a tricycle. From your hotel, you
will board an open scooter then start your tour to various sites which
include the city center, Kisumu railway station, the pier (the ship
docking bay), Impala Wildlife Sanctuary, Kiboko Bay Tented Beach Resort,
Kisumu Museum, Kisumu Municipal Market, Kisumu airport, Lake Victoria
Beach Resort, the Nyanza Golf Club and then back to your hotel.
Boating
Excursion 3 Hrs
This
is an excursion which takes you inside the lake victoria on a leisure
boat. You will board the boat at kiboko bay beach resort ,then ride
around the gulf to dunga beach, the car wash area,Tilapia beach,then
to kisumu beach resort,proceed along the shores of lake victoria to
Ndere island National park in lake victoria, see the wildlife then ride
back to Kiboko bay beach resort for lunch. With arrangement, a picnic
lunch would be served in the boat inside the Lake.
