ITINERARY

Day 1, 2 & 3: Serengeti National Park
Upon your arrival at Arusha Airport you will be met by your tour manager who will assist you in boarding your scheduled flight to Klein’s Airstrip. Your flight departs a in the morning and in the afternoon. A short game-drive transfer (10 minutes) will bring you to camp .Activities include game-drives in the Serengeti National Park. Also there are Day trips to Lake Victoria (Lukubo Island) are available at an additional cost and may be booked directly at the lodge, subject to availability of vehicles

Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Within its 15,000 sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals- zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The park is the staging zones for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds.

When arranging for your international air tickets, note that it is usually cheaper to disembark at Nairobi in Kenya. You then take a shuttle bus to Arusha at a cost of US$ 20. This shuttle bus leaves at 0800 and 1400 hrs daily from either Nairobi or Arusha. The drive takes 5 hours inclusive of time taken to go through the Immigration at Namanga border. Day 4 & 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy an early morning game-drive and breakfast before your scheduled flight to Manyara Airstrip. And transferred to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge which is approximately 2 hours to the lodge Activities include one game-drive on the Crater floor. Additional activities may be booked directly at the lodge, subject to extra cost and availability of vehicles. Such activities include excursions to Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands, a visit to a Maasai village and walks at Empakai Crater. Massages are offered for those who need to relax after a day’s game-viewing

Ngorongoro Crater Covering 260 sq. km, the crater is a great wildlife attraction. You will have no trouble spotting Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and many species of plains animals -Wildebeest, Zebra, Reedbuck, Thompson gazelle and many more. The drive commences with the 600 m descent to the crater floor, a magnificent natural amphitheatre. Covering 260 sq. km, the crater is an attraction in its own right and is one of the wonders of the natural world. The crater supports a year round resident population of a variety of wildlife. You will have no trouble spotting lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and many species of plain animals- wildebeest, zebra, reedbuck, Thompson gazelle and many more. Day 6, 7, 8 & 9: Mnemba Island
Enjoy an early morning breakfast. Transfer to Manyara Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival at 12:15, you connect onto your scheduled flight to Zanzibar Airport where you will be met by a representative from Mnemba Island for your road and boat transfer of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to the lodge. Activities include scuba diving (2 dives per day), snorkeling, and kayaking, salt water fly-fishing and windsurfing. Full board Mnemba Island.

Day 10: Zanzibar Airport
