This wonderful camping safari takes you for cultural tours, sight-seeing, game viewing in Southern Africa, Botswana and Zambia in 10 days. Other optional activities that one may wish to participate in include elephant riding flight sight-seeing, horse riding, river cruise, and water sports. You will travel by road in comfortable 4x4 safari vehicles and stay in basic camps for 9 nights. Our professional and experienced driver/guides will give you a fantastic overview of the parks and take you for game drives.

Day 1: Nata Botswana
Departing Johannesburg, we cross the border into Botswana. We continue northwards to Nata, where our first night is spent camping on the edge of the Makdadikgadi Pans.

Nata is a village in Central District of Botswana. It is located in the northern part of the district, and is served by Nata Airport. The population was 4150 in 2001 census.[1] The village of Nata lies along the Nata River which carries its rainy season flow to the Makgadikgadi Pans, a seasonal hyper saline lake.

Days 2 & 3: Victoria Falls Zimbabwe
This morning we make our way northwards to the Zimbabwe border. You can visit the Victoria Falls, before embarking on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi. There is a free day to go white water rafting, canoeing, elephant riding, bungi jumping and more. Explore the town, visit the markets or even do a helicopter flip over the gorge!

There are two islands on the crest of the falls that are large enough to divide the curtain of water even at full flood: Boaruka Island, and Livingstone Island near the middle - the place that David Livingstone first saw the falls from in Zambia. At less than full flood, additional islets divide the curtain of water into separate parallel streams. The main streams are named, in order from Zimbabwe (west) to Zambia (east): Devil's Cataract (called Leaping Water by some), Main Falls, Rainbow Falls (the highest) and the Eastern Cataract.

Day 4: Chobe National Park Botswana
This morning is free to visit the markets and in town. We then cross into Botswana and set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. We do a 4x4 game drive into Chobe National Park with its fantastic game viewing opportunities, and you have the option of a river cruise.

Chobe National Park, in northwest Botswana, has one of the largest game concentrations in the African continent. By size, this is the third largest park of the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Gemsbok National Park, and is the most diverse. This is also the country's first national park. The original inhabitants of this area were the San bushmen. They were nomadic hunter-gatherers who were constantly moving from place to place to find food sources, namely fruits, water and wild animals. Nowadays one can find San paintings inside rocky hills of the park.

Day 5: Maun Botswana
Making our way south, we arrive in Maun, the gateway to the Delta, in time to make our preparations for our trip into the Delta.

Maun is the main entry point to the Okavango delta, situated at the gateway to the Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Maun is the tourism capital of Botswana and the administrative centre of Ngamiland. It is also the headquarters of countless safari and air-charter operations whose signs and offices dot almost every intersection, particularly towards the airport.

Days 6, 7, 8:Okavango Delta Botswana
This morning we venture into the wild bush of Africa, far from any form of civilization. Our journey begins by 4x4 and once in the Delta we join local villagers/ guides on mokoros (2 man dug out canoes). We begin our search for abundance of wildlife that inhabits the Delta. Drifting silently through the channels. We set up camp on islands in the Delta. After a breathtaking sunset, relax around the campfire listening to the magical sounds of the night. The days are filled with game walks, tracking different species and exploring the waterways of the world renowned Okavango Swamps. On the last afternoon we return to Maun and enjoy a braai.

The Okavango Delta in Botswana, is the world's largest inland delta and is formed where the Okavango River empties onto a swamp in an endorheic basin in the Kalahari Desert, where most of the water is lost to evaporation and transpiration instead of draining into the sea. The Moremi Game Reserve, a National Park, spreads across the eastern side of the delta.

Day 9: Francistown Botswana
This morning you have the option of a scenic game flight over the Delta giving you the chance to see the entire area as well as spot some game. We then hit the road to Francistown, where we spend our final night.

Day 10: Johannesburg South Africa
Departing early we arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon.
